DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS is the funniest show ever!

OMG! Yesterday was the best day in NYC I have ever had. We left out house at 1:30 and picked up my aunt Kyle. We got into the city at about 3:30. We parked the car and walked around the city. My dad and I went to the big Toys R US store while Mary, mom, and Kyle went to a makeup store. After that went to the big record and cd store and then walked to the restaurant LUXIA to meet up with JoAnne and her husband Mark. They were in the city seeing Spamalot. After a wonderful dinner we walked to the Imperial Theater to see DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS (I have been to this theater before- I saw my number 1 favorite show Les Miserables here).

The show is about two con men living on the French Riviera. The first is Lawrence Jameson (John Lithgow), who makes his lavish living by talking rich ladies out of their money. The other is a small-time crook named Freddy Benson (Norbert Leo Butz), more humbly swindles women by waking their compassion with fabricated stories about his grandmother's failing health. After meeting on a train, they unsuccessfully attempt to work together only to find that this small French town isn't big enough for the two of them. They agree on a settlement: the first one to extract $50,000 from a young female target, heiress Christine Colgate (Sherie Rene Scott), wins and the other must leave town.

The music was amazing, the set blew me away, and of course John Lithgow and Norbert Leo Butz made a fantastic team. We had previously seen Norbert Leo Butz in Wicked. He was the original Fiyero. He was good in both shows.

Afterwards, we stood out in front of the stage door. It was so cold out but the news gets better. We acually were standing there to wait for the cast members to come out. I managed to get the three leading actors autographs and one of the leading female's autograph. My sister and I got pictures with John Lithgow (Lawrence), Norbert Leo Butz (Freddy-I<3>

Well that's all for now. I am excited. Mary is home for a week. It's nice having her home. I'll update soon!

~Peace Out~
