Senior year was amazing this year! I have a whole list that made it spectacular! Let's get started!
First was the Fall Drama Production of "Noises Off". I helped with the stage crew and it was fun. I also got to go out to Friendly's after the Friday Night show!
Back in November, on the 14th, I celebrated my 18th Birthday! I had TJ, Tyler, Christina and Justin over for a party. It was alot of fun. I got nice gifts from the family and some money. Turning 18 had its advantages because in May I finally registered to vote!
Well sadly, our family suffered another loss. On March 11, my grandfather passed away after suffering two strokes. I was not ready to loose another member after Papa and Uncle Ronny. I couldn't take anymore. We flew down to Virginia for the funeral and it was nice to be there with my mom's side of the family. I did finally get to meet my new cousin Baby Jean. She is a miracle baby because we lost one Jean but gained another.
The next amazing thing was the trip to Walt Disney World with band and chorus in April. We at first thought it was going to be canceled because our flight was canceled due to the Noreastern coming through. Luckily we found another flight and got to Florida. At the hotel, we faced a few more problems. We at first couldn't get into our room and then our luggage didn't come till midnight! But after that, the trip just got better and better. I did not want to leave. I covered all 4 parks and had a blast.
After that, we opened up our Spring Musical of "The Pirates of Penzance". It was an amazing show and as it turned out, we got 13 nominations for the Halo Awards. We ended up winning five of them and a special award. Here are the ones we got:
- Best Featured Female Performer in a Play-Ali Agati
- Best Student Stage Management-Pete Bergamo and Alex Paul
- Best Supporting Actress in a Musical-Beth Killian
- Best Specialty Ensemble in a Musical-The Police
- Best Ensemble in a Musical
- The Gypsy Robe-Vin Laliberte
I went to three proms this year instead of one. I went to Kennedy's Prom with KC from Camp. It was fun but I only knew like one other person. I went to SCA PROM with the Holy Cross Seniors and it was a blast. We had wanted SCA as our theme for Prom but it got shot down so we did it anyways at the Continental Room in Naugatuck. Holy Cross Prom was by far the best. I had Bri, Christina and Katie over for pictures before hand and I went with John Swanhall. My dress was fushia pink and it was shorter then last years. The DJ was better and so was the music. It wasn't all hip-hop and rap.
I also had Senior Lock in on May 18th. It was fun. I spent most of the night with TJ. By 5:00 I was beat. I also won a raffle prize. And to conclude, Graduation will be on June 3rd at 10:30. I am very excited and I get to wear a gold robe! I will miss Holy Cross so much. It was by far, the best 4 years of my life.
Well that about sums up Senior Year! I will update after Summer is over and before I start at Southern!
Peace out all!
